Public-page measurement
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand visits to our public pages and Vercel Speed Insights to measure page performance, when enabled on our hosting project. These integrations are configured to exclude investor, sign-in, password and authentication pages.
We remove URL fragments and query parameters from analytics except a short approved set of campaign labels. Illustration inputs, financial amounts, email addresses and authentication tokens are excluded from those analytics URLs. When an incoming referrer contains a path or query that cannot be safely removed by the analytics integration, we skip that analytics event.
We also record public page views in application logs and count article views, deliberate experiment interactions, illustration-sharing attempts, terminal-page visits and successful new waitlist or invitation submissions. These events include the relevant article and approved campaign labels. They do not include calculator values, form contents or an uploaded trading record.
We count visible publication links, clicks, sections reached and use of the resume action. Those events contain public page paths, fixed link placements and section identifiers. They do not contain your saved position within a section or establish that you read or understood it. We distinguish sharing attempts from successful clipboard copies.
Interaction, campaign and signup events are recorded in application logs. We use the free page-view setup and do not enable paid custom-event reporting. Host processing and retention follow our hosting configuration and Vercel’s analytics privacy documentation.
Illustrations and browser storage
The teaching examples run in your browser. Personal capital, income and career-planning inputs are not included in a copied illustration link. Some examples can share a small set of approved teaching controls; the copy button explains what is included. Anyone receiving that link can see those included values.
Browser session storage remembers the first public entry page, approved campaign labels and the first and latest Ideas article for that tab’s session. This helps us understand which research brings people to the terminal waitlist. We do not add an analytics visitor ID or an analytics cookie. Investor authentication uses its own session cookies.
Reading progress is saved in this browser’s local storage: the article path, section, position within it and last-visited time. It can survive closing the browser and does not sync across devices. Calculator values and personal financial inputs are not saved with it. Use “Clear reading history” beside a resume link to remove it. Reading continues normally if browser storage is unavailable.
Information you choose to submit
The terminal waitlist stores the email address you submit in Supabase. Resend sends its confirmation email. You can optionally choose the market question you are interested in; we count that topic with the new signup to help shape the terminal. The topic is not added to your waitlist contact record.
Invitation requests include the name, email, account-size range, optional contact details and description you enter. They are stored for reviewing your request and may be sent to our team by email. We do not send those contents to public-page analytics.
You can reply to a waitlist confirmation with a recurring market question. Send only information you are comfortable sharing by email.
